Life jackets are always included in the price.
Our canoes are located in Hösthån’s calm waters, which are part of the Sörälven. Hösthån is the perfect excursion destination for the day, nice waters and cozy bays, good fishing and lots of wildlife, there is also a wilderness camp that you can easily stop at and have a coffee or make a fire if you want to grill hot dogs.
Remember to ALWAYS check if there is a fire ban before you light a fire.
We can also transport the canoes if you want to paddle somewhere else.
Idre and its surroundings have many fine waters for longer canoe trips, Idre Turistbyrå can help you with tips on various canoe trips and a map.
How many people can sit in a canoe?
You can always paddle alone in a canoe, and in our largest canoes you can sit up to four people, two people paddling and two people sitting on the floor of the canoe. No matter how many you are in a canoe, you always have a MAXIMUM of two paddles.
When you make your booking request, don’t forget to indicate whether it is in Hösthån that you want to paddle or somewhere else and what time you want to start your canoe trip.

Good to bring
Whatever you want to do on your particular adventure, it’s always good to
- bring binoculars
- something to sit upon
- Clothes after weather
- and something to eat and drink if you stay out for a long time.
Important to know
- We can also transport canoes to the desired location for a fee of 30:-/10km.
- Payment is made by card or swish at the reception for Idre Wildtrack located in the Lilla Vildt section, otherwise cash or swish.
